EasyPlug
EasyPlug allows you easily locate your block heater cord in the morning using a small LED light, safely disconnect and continue on your day. The technology also prevents damage if you forget to unplug your block heater. Every year we see power cords hanging from the front of grills and scattered across the highway. With EasyPlug your cords will disconnect even if you forget!
EasyPlug is designed for ease of use in cold climates while wearing mitts or large gloves. The telescoping parts make it easy to connect in one quick click! The housing is designed to withstand the harshest winter conditions to keep your car running when you need it the most.
EasyPlug is currently not available for sale, although our second prototype was recently complete and we hope to pursue CSA approval shortly. To enquire about future orders or to express interest, please contact: ryan.fetterly_easyplug.ca.
EasyPlugs first product is a two-piece magnetic adapter that prevents damage to automobiles and individuals. One piece of EasyPlug attaches to the electric cord while the other piece plugs into a automobiles block heater. The two pieces are held together, such that the metal contacts provide power to the device.
If an individual forgets to disconnect their block heater the plug will disconnect itself when the vehicle drives away. Preventing damage to the power cord and automobile.
EasyPlug is currently not available for sale, but will be soon. To enquire about future orders, please contact: sales_easyplug.ca.
TECHNOLOGY
The materials used to make an EasyPlug are the same as those used in a standard plug and socket housing. The external portion of the device is a hard plastic shell; this provides rigidity and electrical isolation between contacts. The housing contains the connection between the standard three prong contacts and the circular ring contacts, as well as the safety mechanism. In order to keep the contact resistance as low as possible, the standard three prong contacts are connected to the ring contacts using a high conductivity metal. EasyPlugs technology is patent pending.
APPLICATIONS
EasyPlug is designed to allow for the easy disconnection of an electrical appliance if a force is applied to the cord. This is a safety feature can protect the operator of the device or the device itself.
If you think EasyPlug would be a valuable product for your workplace, facility or household, please contact: sales_easyplug.ca.

FAQ
Is the EasyPlug for sale?
No, we are currently still testing and going through the regulatory process.
How does the EasyPlug work?
When you push the 2 parts together tension is applied to the prongs, should a force be applied to the cord the tension will be released and the cords break apart.
